CIPS Level 6 Online
Study the CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply online, with live, tutor-led study days you can join from anywhere in the UK or further afield. It's the final qualification on the route to MCIPS Chartered status, for experienced procurement professionals ready to lead at a strategic level, and CIPS describes it as equivalent to an honours degree.
This isn't a recorded course. You learn live with your tutor and group, over 14 months and 16 study days. Before each CIPS exam series you have three study days: two covering the learning outcomes and a third for revision and exam technique.

How online study works
Study days run live in a virtual classroom from 09:30 to around 15:30, with the same content, tutor support and exam preparation as our classroom courses. You'll need a computer with a reliable internet connection, a webcam and a microphone. Between study days, all your materials and revision resources are in our Google Classroom.
Your tutor
Dr Paul Wright MCIPS has worked across the public and private sectors and co-wrote Excellence in Public Sector Procurement. Paul is also a CIPS Direct Associate who marks CIPS assessments and exams, so he knows exactly what examiners look for at Level 6 and builds that into every study day.
Syllabus (CIPS Level 6 modules)
You study four core modules and three electives, worth 60 credits in total:
- Strategic Ethical Leadership (L6M1, core)
- Global Commercial Strategy (L6M2, core)
- Global Strategic Supply Chain Management (L6M3, core)
- Future Strategic Challenges for the Profession (L6M4, core)
- Strategic Programme Leadership (L6M5, elective)
- Innovation in Procurement and Supply (L6M8, elective)
- Supply Network Design (L6M9, elective)
Assessments
You sit four written exams (three of three hours and one of two hours), with a pass mark of 50%, and four 90-minute multiple choice exams, with a pass mark of 70%.
