CIPS Level 6 in Leeds
Study the CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply in the classroom in Leeds, at Novotel Leeds, just a 4-minute walk from Leeds station. It's the final qualification on the route to MCIPS Chartered status, for experienced procurement professionals ready to lead at a strategic level, and CIPS describes it as equivalent to an honours degree.
The course runs over 14 months, with 16 tutor-led study days. Before each CIPS exam series you have three study days: two covering the learning outcomes and a third for revision and exam technique. Small, discussion-based classes mean you learn from other senior procurement professionals across Yorkshire as well as your tutor.

Your Leeds study centre is Novotel Leeds, 4 Whitehall Quay, Leeds, LS1 4HR, a 4-minute walk from Leeds railway station, with an onsite car park. The venue offers free Wi-Fi and complimentary tea and coffee. Study days start at 09:30 and finish around 15:30.
Your tutor
Dr Paul Wright MCIPS has worked across the public and private sectors and co-wrote Excellence in Public Sector Procurement. Paul is also a CIPS Direct Associate who marks CIPS assessments and exams, so he knows exactly what examiners look for at Level 6 and builds that into every study day.
Syllabus (CIPS Level 6 modules)
You study four core modules and three electives, worth 60 credits in total:
- Strategic Ethical Leadership (L6M1, core)
- Global Commercial Strategy (L6M2, core)
- Global Strategic Supply Chain Management (L6M3, core)
- Future Strategic Challenges for the Profession (L6M4, core)
- Strategic Programme Leadership (L6M5, elective)
- Innovation in Procurement and Supply (L6M8, elective)
- Supply Network Design (L6M9, elective)
Assessments
You sit four written exams (three of three hours and one of two hours), with a pass mark of 50%, and four 90-minute multiple choice exams, with a pass mark of 70%.
