CIPS Level 5 in Nottingham
Study the CIPS Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply in the classroom in Nottingham, at Leonardo's Hotel, just a 2-minute walk from Nottingham station. It's the next step after Level 4, building the management-level skills you need in risk, contracts and leading teams, and completing it makes you an Associate Member of CIPS.
The course runs over 14 months, with 15 tutor-led study days. Before each CIPS exam series you have three study days: two covering the learning outcomes and a third for revision and exam technique. Small, discussion-based classes mean you learn from experienced procurement professionals across the East Midlands as well as your tutor.

Your Nottingham study centre is Leonardo's Hotel (formerly Jurys Inn), Station Street, Nottingham, NG2 3BJ, about a 2-minute walk from Nottingham railway station. Study days start at 09:30 and finish around 15:30.
Your tutor
Mike Donnelly FCIPS is a former Chief Procurement Officer at Shell who has also held executive roles at Arla. He has led teams of more than 480 people across 35 countries and managed annual spend of $5.4bn. Mike is also a CIPS Direct Associate, so he brings real-world procurement leadership and a clear understanding of what CIPS examiners look for at Level 5.
Syllabus (CIPS Level 5 modules)
You study five core modules and three electives, worth 60 credits in total:

- Advanced Contract and Financial Management (L5M4, core)
- Managing Ethical Procurement and Supply (L5M5, core)

- Project and Change Management (L5M8, elective)
Assessments
You sit two three-hour written exams, with a pass mark of 50%, and six 90-minute multiple choice exams, with a pass mark of 70%.
